BBC Scotland presenter Nick Sheridan has died aged 32 after a short sickness, the broadcaster has announced.
Sheridan was remembered as 'massively gifted' in a heartfelt tribute from BBC Scotland's head of stories and present affairs, Gary Smith.
Smith's assertion, posted on social media as we speak (Thursday, March 7) reads: 'We're devastated to hear the news our colleague and good friend, Nick Sheridan, has died.
'Nick has been an exquisite colleague. He was a massively gifted journalist, presenter and writer – and a type of uncommon individuals who mild up the lives of everybody round them.
'Our hearts go out to his mother and father, to his companion and to all his family and buddies.'
No explanation for demise has been announced.

The First Minister stated: 'I needed to say on behalf of the Scottish Government and the social gathering I lead how unhappy we have been concerning the tragic news of the lack of Nick Sheridan.
'Nick was a particularly gifted journalist and writer, he will probably be drastically missed. Many of us in this chamber may have been questioned by Nick, quite robustly little question, whether or not it was on BBC Drivetime or on most of the other programmes he introduced.
