ERIC Carmen, the lead singer of The Raspberries, has died on the age of 74.

The 70s energy pop icon was behind the hit Hungry Eyes popularized in Dirty Dancing in addition to being the master behind the theme track for Footloose.

The trigger and circumstances of his demise have not been made public.
Carmen led The Raspberries to fame before kicking off an unimaginable solo profession that made him a household identify throughout the country.
