Malec, 77, stated she fell for a Bitcoin scam that blindsided her till $23,800 was gone.

A big message that appeared to be from Microsoft had come up on her display as she attempted to pay some bills on-line, in accordance with FOX affiliate WITI.

The message had a number for tech help that Malec referred to as.
