Josh Peck shouldn't be OK with Amy Schumer's current criticisms of Joy Koy's Golden Globes monologue.

"I took concern with Amy Schumer who just lately was on the Pricey Media podcast. She was requested about Jo Koy," Peck, 27, sharing in the course of the Thursday, February 29, episode of his "Good Guys" podcast. "I really feel defensive of comedians. It's a brotherhood, it's a sisterhood. And she or he principally was essential of Jo Koy. She was throwing him underneath the bus, which was sh—ty because she's a comic. It's like, we all know he had a troublesome night time. Why continue to go after him a month later?"

Peck famous that while he isn't a "comedian" himself, his comic good friend Yannis Pappas lately shared his own insight on Koy's controversial Globes monologue that he felt properly depicted the state of affairs. "He was undeserving of all of the [backlash]."

Koy hosted the award show in January, marking his first gig as an emcee. In his opening monologue, he notably dissed Barbie — which costarred nominees Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling — as well as fellow nominees Robert De Niro, Bradley Cooper and Taylor Swift. Lots of his jokes bombed, leaving both the star-studded crowd and lots of at-home viewers unimpressed.

Schumer, for her part, appeared on the "Not Skinny But Not Fat" podcast earlier this month to share her own opinions on the awkward second, saying that Koy, 52, finally obtained a "lesson handed to him."

"If [the audience doesn't] chuckle, then it's an issue," Schumer, who hosted the 2022 Oscars, defined at the time. "The factor with Jo … he threw his writers underneath the bus and that was not a very good look. If I'm going to say a joke about anybody … I'm going to clear it. Like, I cleared [my jokes] to Leonardo DiCaprio. I cleared it with these individuals. As a result of I don't need to make that mistake."

Despite disagreeing with how Koy handled issues on stage, Schumer added that it "doesn't feel good when the entire internet is mad at you," and clarified tht she "doesn't wish that on anyone."

While discussing Schumer's comments on Thursday, Peck's cohost, Ben Soffer, stated that he principally agreed with Peck but thought Koy blaming his writers for the shortage of snickers was the primary concern.

"In the event you're bombing, you don't need to tell us that you simply're bombing as a result of your writers suck," he stated. "He threw them beneath the bus."

Koy, for his part, advised the Los Angeles Times in an interview following the ceremony that it was "rookie movie" to put blame on his writing workforce, however he finally did not regret any of his jokes.
