Television producer and director Nicky Illis, who worked on BBC exhibits including Antiques Roadshow and Fake or Fortune, has died of cancer aged 53.
Illis started her profession on The Late Show within the 1990s, and by her early twenties she was directing historical past exhibits including One Foot In The Past and The House Detectives.

'It's quieter now and we've lost a valuable font of data, a trailblazer and a terrific good friend. She can be very a lot missed.'
Illis is survived by her husband Seb and their youngsters Luke and Eliza.
