The clip was part three of Creating Purple Irises, a collection of social media videos that spotlight the method of creating the album.
She described the genre of the album as "yacht rock" which she stated was to have a band play comparable music to the 70s and early 80s albums she grew up on.

In a previous clip displaying the making of the album, Gwen shared the meaning behind the title song that was launched last month.
She revealed that she was on her option to a studio session when the thought for the track came to her.
Purple Irises is a love track about her and Blake's relationship, but in addition about her insecurities.
She wrote the thought on her telephone before pulling into the studio driveway, heading inside, and writing the track that day.
