The Coles Crossing Group Affiliation allegedly hired gunmen to shoot an invasive duck species through the night time[/caption]

"No one within the neighborhood was notified, so none of the residents knew," she informed ABC News affiliate KTRK.

"So, it was a very scary sight. It was a time when individuals have been still easily out walking their canine or taking a stroll in the night time."

In accordance with one resident, two men claimed they have been employed by the Coles Crossing Group Affiliation to patrol the local pond and kill an invasive species of duck referred to as Muscovy geese.

The pond on the heart of the HOA group is usually used for peaceable walks, fishing, and canine walking.

Nevertheless, this sense of peace was shattered when a resident reportedly noticed the two males armed with long air rifles patrolling the pond at around 9 pm on March 26.

The resident filmed her encounter with the lads, asking them, "What are you guys doing?"

They said that they have been hired by the HOA, but they added that, to date, that they had did not shoot any Muscovy ducks.

Bartkowiak was shocked when she first noticed the clip, which she has since shared on NextDoor and different social media pages.

"I feel what the group was most upset about is the very fact this was ever an choice on the table," Bartkowski advised the information outlet.

"Once we returned in February, they caught and relocated the ducks. Why now are we just slaughtering these ducks?"

Fellow resident Steve Robinson advised the news outlet how he understood the HOA's obvious frustration with the ducks but that a mass cull was taking the difficulty too far.

"I can see each side," Robinson stated.

"You spend a lot of money making your flower beds look nice and the geese destroy it. So I totally get eager to remove them.

"However I don't assume you must present up with a pellet gun at night time and shoot them."

Robinson, who likes to go searching, additionally added that he reported the incident to the native recreation warden as a consequence of considerations that other birds might have been killed while removing the invasive species.

"I did name the sport warden and reported it, so I'm ready to listen to back from them," stated Robinson.

"The preliminary report was there have been guys out right here with air rifles capturing geese.

"And I didn't know what species it was, and I assumed it was the correct factor to do: have the sport warden come out and do an investigation."

Residents advised the news outlet that back in February, the HOA had attempted different methods of pest control together with making an attempt to seize the geese in giant nets.

Now, they want answers as to why weapons have been seen as the subsequent choice and why they weren't informed of the obvious determination.

"I feel the neighborhood is a bit of concerned that this way of scaling down the population of ducks was ever on the table for our board to debate," Bartkowiak stated.

Nevertheless, the final post referring to geese was from December 2023 reminding residents to "NOT make wildlife into pets" and that doing so will see the HOA should take "applicable action as needed."

"We don't need to be heavy-handed, but the scope of this drawback is bigger than you'll be able to think about," the HOA added.
