A COMMUNITY has been left devastated after a beloved instructor was found lifeless following a freak accident.
Instructor and coach Dexter Butler was found lifeless outdoors of Key West Excessive School by police on Saturday.


"His keys fell down the drain," Monroe County Faculties Superintendent Theresa Axford informed Keys Weekly, confirming Butler's demise and providing further details.
"He was reaching for them, lost his stability and fell face first, then drowned in 18 inches of water within the drain," she continued.
"Really a tragedy on many levels."
Native police and hearth departments responded to a call of an injured individual outdoors Key West Excessive Faculty in Florida on Saturday.
But they found Butler lifeless upon arrival.
"Models observed an adult male in a storm drain near the varsity& gymnasium," Key West Police Division spokeswoman Alyson Crean stated in a press release.
"No foul play is suspected," she continued, including that the investigation is ongoing.
Along with his position as a instructor at Horace O'Bryant Middle Faculty, Butler was a basketball coach at Key West High Faculty.
Following news of his demise, the varsity canceled all sporting occasions.
Butler was a serious supporter of scholars and generally spoke out about his workforce's accomplishments.

"Next season can be one thing special however with nice expectation comes nice duty."
TRIBUTES POUR IN
Group members are distraught over Butler's dying and have been sharing fond reminiscences and thoughts concerning the late educator and coach.
"We provide our sincere condolences to his household and to all college students who knew and worked with him," Axford stated.
Some students have been saying goodbye on his final Fb submit.
"I really like you so much coach I miss you a lot man relaxation up thanks for every part," wrote one scholar.
"He was a tremendous asset to our Key West group and might be significantly missed," wrote the native Little League baseball group in their own publish.

As his household begins planning for funeral preparations, a GoFundMe has been set up to assist Butler's family members, including his two sons.
"Dexter was generally known as many things. Most significantly a father, son, husband, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, athlete, nice pal, beloved coach, and revered instructor," begins the fundraiser's description.
"He was and can stay to be an admired mentor and a HUGE affect for the youngsters and teenagers in our group. He will probably be missed dearly by so many and his loss will affect many of us in so many ways."
