The Detroit exec then appeared to have waived at Little Caesars Area security.
"You threatened me," the heckler was heard saying to Weaver when approached by a security employee.
He was then escorted away, in accordance with AP.
The fan reportedly approached Weaver twice in the course of the loss to the Mavericks.
"The guy that was in the incident, with the Purple Wings stuff on, came to visit and was pointing at the scoreboard earlier within the recreation," Pistons longtime season-ticker holder Jeffrey Calloway advised AP on Sunday.
"Troy Weaver simply shrugged his shoulders and stated, 'OK,' and the man went back to his seat.
"When [Jalen] Duren acquired ejected, the man got here again and informed him that he was terrible at his job.
"Then, Troy Weaver was telling the fan he needed to depart and that's when ushers or security walked over."
