A WALMART shopper has blasted the retailer as it is set to make a self-checkout change at some of its stores.
This shopper shared their concerns about in-store waits at Walmart due to the controversial adjustment.
The customer (@USAgenda22) shared their thoughts on X, formerly Twitter, in response to an article stating some of the retailer's locations will remove self-checkout kiosks.
Walmart will remove all of these machines from one of its stores in St Louis, Missouri, and another store in Cleveland, Ohio, according to TIME.
A spokesperson for the company, Brian Little, told Business Insider that the decision had been made following staff and customer feedback.
"We believe the change will improve the in-store shopping experience and give our associates the chance to provide more personalized and efficient service," he said.
The machines will reportedly be removed when the stores are closed for the night.
This process is expected to be completed within two weeks.
The X user posted a condition that Walmart should adhere to following the next measure.
"If they remove self checkout, they'd better get more cashiers on registers or things will get ugly real fast," they wrote.
The shopper added their concerns about waiting times in these locations.
"No one wants to wait in lines the length of the store," they added.

The machinery was removed from locations in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Walmart had 14 locations in the city but the kiosks were only scratched from three spots.
The retailer had not confirmed the reason for this change.

The U.S. Sun has also reported on another customer who expressed their anger following the self-checkout removals at these two locations.
"I don't know what's worse," one shopper (@subonekd) wrote on X.
"Cashiers who don't know what they're doing or customers who are surprised they've got to pay for everything in their cart."
The U.S. Sun has reached out to Walmart for comment.
