FIFA opens proceedings against Canada Soccer and head coach Bev Priestman amid Olympics drone spying scandal
The Canadian women's soccer team's head coach Bev Priestman is among the individuals FIFA is investigating amid claims a drone was used to spy on their Olympic rivals New Zealand. FIFA's disciplinary committee has opened proceedings against Canada Soccer, along with Priestman and two other members of the team. Assistant coach Jasmine Mander and Joseph Lombardi, an unaccredited analyst with Canada Soccer, have been sent home in connection with what the Canadian Olympic Committee has said it believes to be two separate instances of a drone being used to record Football Ferns training sessions.
