Supreme Court justices hint at where they stand on ban for transgender medical care for children
Supreme Court justices on Wednesday indicated they are leaning toward upholding a controversial Tennessee law denying transgender children medical treatment. Members of the conservative majority said that judgments about contested scientific evidence should be made by legislatures rather than judges. 'The Constitution leaves that question to the people's representatives, rather than to nine people, none of whom is a doctor,' Chief Justice John Roberts said. However, liberal judges had a different worry.
