Major Florida beach is evacuated after shock discovery
Fort Lauderdale Beach in Florida had to be evacuated this weekend after people began finding balls of a tar-like substance on the shore. Swimmers were told to get out of the water on Saturday after someone called Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue at around 9am reporting the strange liquid. The caller said the black substance was at his feet while he was walking on the sand, WSVN reported. A beachgoer that day named Benjamin spoke the local outlet, saying he noticed the tar balls wash up on shore.
