
Martha Stewart's Jadeite Collection is 20 Years in the Making, but You Can Snag Similar Pieces from $14
Martha Stewart and her daughter Alexis have been collecting jadeite, a hard mineral known for its vibrant green and cloudy appearance, for nearly 25 years. It became increasingly popular in the 1930s, '40s, and '50s as an inexpensive yet sturdy material for food storage, dinnerware, and décor, but today it's an increasingly hard-to-come-by collector's item. Stewart recently showed off a selection of her Fire-King Restaurantware Jadeite, which can only be found at antique stores, on re-seller sites, and at the occasional estate sale now.
