The Irish singer posted a heartfelt tribute to Liam Payne on social media on Friday, Oct. 18, following the news that the 31-year-old former One Direction member died in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Oct. 16. Payne died after falling multiple stories at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel, Policía Federal Argentina confirmed to PEOPLE.
