The rising political tension between the United States and Canada continued to spill over into the sporting world at the weekend, this time sparking fury in MLS. 'The Star-Spangled Banner' was once again targeted by furious Canadians Sunday when Vancouver Whitecaps fans became the latest to boo the US national anthem amid Donald Trump's tariff threats. Just as their NHL counterparts have done over the past few weeks, the MLS spectators gathered inside BC Place drowned out the performance of the national anthem ahead of the Whitecaps 2-1 win over the LA Galaxy.
